10/21/2006 young ladies rock!
推荐 <sk8er boi> <Im with you> <> <>...
。。 推荐 <Everywhere> <Are you happy now> <Breathe> <You get me> ...
推荐 <Autobiography> <Shadow> <L.O.V.E.> <I am me> ...
No.4 Skye Sweetnam
特喜欢tangled uo in me 和 billy.s. 不过我希望她赶紧长大 变得更强些最好能超过AL 呵呵 推荐 <Tangled Up In Me> <Billy S.> <Number One> ...
No.5 Hilary Duff
推荐 <Hanging on> <The day has come> <I want to> ...
。。 推荐 <4ever> ... 10/4/2006 30 Years of PUNK !!
It's 30 years since the punk revolution hit Staffordshire, the music was loud and the fashion was even louder - we look at what 70's punk was all about, and the legacy it's left in the 21st century...
Can you remember 1976? If you can, you might recall something rocked this country, quite literally, and things haven't been quite the same since.
It’s now 30 years since Punk first rocked these shores - in more ways than one. Music exploded into Staffordshire and Cheshire and with it came a lot of young people with spiky hair and quite a bit of an attitude!
Punk was more than just music...
Even if you can't cast your mind back that far, or weren't around then, you won't have been able to hide from events that took place that year. Music changed, but it was so much more than that. There was an up rising from the masses and it was lead by a guitar playing three chords.
From working class areas to middle England suburbs a lot of youngsters were starting to stick two fingers up at authority. But why did this rebellion take hold? Was it the music? Was it state of the nation at the time? Young people didn't seem to care anymore.
Fashions began to change...
They were donning drain pipe jeans, ripping their t-shirts and putting safety pins where they really weren't meant to go - not to mention the bright coloured mohicans!
But 30 years on, punk rock is still big. People still wearing punk fashions in the streets and some of the biggest bands of today such as Green Day and Blink 182 claim to be punk, or have punk influences.
Punk in the 21st Century...
Stoke-on-Trent based band 'The Disappointments' are one of the bands keeping punk alive in 2006. They've just been signed to a label after a gig in Camden and are influenced by bands like The Clash and Bad Religion. Lead singer Fox said 'It made people stand up and listen, people though it would just die out it was just a phase but it stayed and has become on one the main stays within the music industry..." Listen to the full interview with the band by clicking on the link below.
I wonder if we'll still be looking at the impact of punk sixty years on?
